Watching this is painful. Obama has taken to quoting the Bible to support his policies. Except that he doesn’t read the Bible, as evidenced by this video. So maybe it would be a good idea to not throw around Bible platitudes that make that really obvious, Mr. President. Stick to Karl Marx and Saul Alinsky. It’s clear that’s more your comfort zone.
In case anyone is wondering, there is no verse in the Bible about throwing stones in glass houses.
Oh, the irony.
“While we appreciate the solidarity shown by White and Non-Black POC, want to remind folks of some things: Please refrain from taking up space in all ways possible. Remember that you are there in support of black folks, so should never be at the centre of anything,” the rules stated.
“Refrain from speaking to the media. Black voices are crucial to this.”
“Stand behind black folks or between us and the police.”
“If you see a cop harassing a black person, come in and engage. (chances are they are least likely to arrest you),” the rules stated.
In 1991 there were 1.5 million Christians in Iraq. Today, there are as few as 300,000. From Syria to Egypt, where there have been churches for almost two millennia, Christians are being persecuted and killed and their places of worship are being destroyed.
“People here (in the West) are not waking up and listening to the reality of what is going on. It is a life-and-death situation, and it is the life and death of our people. It’s a different world out there.”
If we had a POTUS who actually was sympathetic to Christians, this never would have happened in the first place. President Obama sent a thank you note to the mosque of the man who murdered Colleen Hufford, the Oklahoma woman who was beheaded by a black Muslim though. Kinda shows you where his sympathies lie.
CLUE: It’s not with Christians.
I love how we get the ‘black lives matter’ speal whenever a black person dies by the hand of someone non-black. Apparently though, that doesn’t apply when a black person dies by the hand of another black person, which occurs disproportionately more often. As in, daily. The obvious lack of consistency detracts from the message to those who are interested in justice and not revenge. Yes, black lives do matter, and not just when the person on the other side of the gun happens to be non-black.
Some protesters in opposition to the Ferguson grand jury’s decision not to indict police officer Darren Wilson following the August shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown are now threatening to boycott businesses nationwide on Black Friday “unless they are black-owned.”
Coming from no other than New York’s Chuck Schumer.
Yeah, we know. Mitt Romney was said the same thing during his 2012 presidential campaign. You guys didn’t listen.
Democrats are turning on Obama en masse.
“Unfortunately, Democrats blew the opportunity the American people gave them” in electing Obama and a Democratic Congress in 2008 amid a recession. “We took their mandate and put all our focus on the wrong problem — health care reform.”
“After passing the stimulus, Democrats should have continued to propose middle class-oriented programs and built on the partial success of the stimulus, but unfortunately Democrats blew the opportunity the American people gave them. We took their mandate and put all of our focus on the wrong problem – health care reform.”
“The plight of uninsured Americans and the hardships caused by unfair insurance company practices certainly needed to be addressed,” he said. “But it wasn’t the change we were hired to make. Americans were crying out for an end to the recession, for better wages and more jobs — not for changes in their health care.”
